Chicago is America’s third most populated and bright city, which highlights the fact that it has got one of the fanciest and decorated nightlife. Located at the shores of Lake Michigan, the city attracts thousands of tourists that enjoy the happy and sound environment complimenting its high standard restaurants and clubs. There is almost something for everyone from the vivid nightclubs, lively bars, uniquely crafted beers, and popular live music concerts.
Here, we are introducing Josh Brusilovsky, one of the major people behind successful nights at nightclubs in Chicago. Josh Bru, as he is popularly known, spent his last four years booking artists throughout different nightlife venues across Chicago and other cities in the U.S. Owning an entertainment company based in Chicago and he is the leading talent buying scene in the city’s nightlife.
His work basically includes partnering with celebrities, popular music festivals, and other powerful talent organizations in the industry. This helps him get access to some high-ticket artists to book. He has booked numerous famous celebrities including the legendary DJ Khaled, Migos, Jack Hallow, Playboy Carti, 24KGoldn, Blueface, Shoreline Mafia, Travis Scott, and Saweetie. He has spent over $250,000 in artist bookings who have given some of the most electrifying nightclub performances. As per Josh, a successful event is one where the nightly income surpasses 3-4 times the artist’s cost. He considers it to be a simple and good metric to make money constantly.
He entered the industry after doing promotions for smaller nightlife venues in the city. This was his part-time hustle as he was still a business student at DePaul University. Several years later, he had started his entertainment company employing dozens of promoters who marketed his events throughout most Chicago colleges. Like any other competitors in the industry, the pandemic has affected his career and slowed down his business, but he is already making a swing back to full action. Standing on his feet again, Josh is looking into artist management and A&R.
He wants to work more with the artists. Thinking of taking advantage of the connections he has made over the past years and applying that to the management role to further his artists’ careers, he wants to expand his scope. And as they say, a good manager should keep the gigs flowing while positively impacting the artist’s brand. This is precisely what Josh promises to deliver.
