The lady who is an all-rounder and believes in herself no matter what work she is doing in her life, Sobia A Shaikh is a content creator, Influencer and blogger. She has been involved with volunteering to fundraise for various non-profits. She is a member of UNICEF USA North West Region Board as well as the Co-Chair for the nationwide UNICEF.
Sobia started as a fashion model in Pakistan where she also did runway which was focused on editorial and television commercials. After a few years, she moved to San Francisco. Sobia used her knowledge of textiles which she had acquired in her modelling days, to start a custom hand-woven clothing business called “Rhung” and after that, she also started her handbag line, ISLY Handbags. ISLY Handbags is the line that was carried in stores and boutiques across the country. Sobia A Shaikh’s work was recognised and featured in renowned publications like The New York Times, InStyle, People, C Magazine, PopSugar and more.
In 2017, Sobia took her life in a new direction and launched her own Instagram account, which was quickly followed by her blog. “I launched my blog shaikhenandstirred.com as an aim to showcase & share with my followers’ lifestyle, events, fashion, decor, travel, beauty and other aesthetically pleasing aspects of my life. It has now rapidly turned into a business as people have started viewing me as an influencer. I have lived in Pakistan and London before moving to San Francisco, and bring a rich cultural perspective and worldview informed by the time I have spent in different parts of the world. I’m a fixture in the San Francisco social scene and am regarded as a trendsetter with my unique sense of style. I travel extensively and attending Fashion Weeks in New York & Paris have further cemented my role as an international lifestyle influencer.”, she says.
Sobia A Shaikh works with brands which she feels are authentic. She wants the best for her customers and followers. She always believes in being real and speaking what’s in her mind. Sobia says, “If my followers are investing their time in following me and taking an interest in my feed, among a sea of other influencers’ posts and feeds, then I owe them kindness, respect and honesty.” Sobia will keep on working and inspiring more people through her work.
